Originally a pair of Victorian semi-detached houses that have been sympathetically converted into this attractive, comfortable & relaxed hotel in Newbold, a residential area of Chesterfield. Nick and Tina Buckingham are well known for their warm and friendly hotel, which specialises in superlative food. The hotels modern facilities are combined with an attention to detail and quality of service. Residents Dining The Newbold dining room has a good selection of meals including vegetarian meals and are available from 60pm to 7.30pm or by arrangement. There is also a light snack menu, which is available from 60pm to 110pm,this can be served in your bedroom or in the Newbold dining room. An Ideal Base Explore the magnificent Derbyshire Peak District or the interesting and diverse attractions in the local area. Although a holiday destination, we are also only fifteen minutes from England's 4th largest city of Sheffield, and minutes away from Chesterfields thriving industrial parks. As you will see we are at the centre for many varied businesses and commercial organisations. M1, J29 is only 5 miles away whilst the local bus & train stations are within a few minutes of our door. Chesterfield town centre is a five minutes walk away; here you can find the famous Crooked Spire of its parish church. Chesterfield is also home to one of the largest open-air markets in the country. You can browse around more than 200 stalls every Monday, Friday and Saturday all year round, whilst on Thursday you can rummage in the popular flea market. For the professional shopper there is always the Meadowhall complex, which is only twenty minutes away by car! Chesterfield is situated on the edge of the Peak National Park with some of the most spectacular and beautiful scenery in England. You will never be short of places to visit, no matter what your particular passion is.
